Joan Aeschlimann

Joan has always enjoyed her painting, albeit as an amateur!   In her early twenties she attended Camberwell School of Art under Clifford Frith and it was here that her love of oils began.  As soon as family commitments ended she returned to painting with a vengeance.   She has in the recent past attended several Adult Education Classes as well as completing five years with the Open College at Wimbledon School of Art.

Joan joined the Croydon Art Society in 1984 and is also a member of Tandridge Art Society and of  Old Coulsdon.   She has exhibited in the Mall Galleries  and at other London and local venues.

As to subjects, Joan’s paintings vary from landscapes to flowers and still life.   Joan is particularly interested in human figures and likes to place these in market scenes - for example.
