Martin Dain

Born in Walsall, Staffordshire in 1948, Martin has lived in the Surrey area most of his life, moving to Croydon when he married.

He studied a three year full time course in Graphic Design at Croydon College of Art in the sixties, and Technical Illustration for a one year full time at Ravensbourne College of Art and Design, Bromley, some years later as a mature student.

He has earned his living as a Graphic Artist and Illustrator for many years working in London, most recently for B.T. Reprographics, producing high quality finished artwork in black and white for print.

Martin took up painting in watercolours in 1990, and since then has been exhibiting his work in the Surrey area with local art groups, and now enjoys the freedon to paint what he likes.

He became a member of the Croydon Art Society in April 1998
